Awesome contest! The perfect gift for Vania would be a week long trip to a desserted island where she stayed at a resort and got total spa treatment, all day everyday except when she was out exploring with her camera. Then at night, rather than maidservice leaving chocolates on her pillow (ok they still totally do that also) they leave her signed arcs of books she really wants to read and then they ship the books home for her free of charge. Ok, so get on that one:-)

You know I'm always a fan of spread the love through alcoholism - and a good bottle of wine goes a long a way. If you want to make it interesting (or she doesn't like wine - or doesn't drink), bring together the ingredients of her favorite drink. If she is a coffee lover and enjoys a good mocha - how cool would a basket full of chocolate, coffee beans and a cool mug be, or back to alcohol drinks, a cool Mojito basket with mint, rum, etc.

I think Vania deserves a new camera with UNLIMITED storage capacity! :) I know that's a major issue when taking pictures.
On a realistic note, I'd probably buy her an Eye-Fi Memory Card , which wirelessly uploads pictures from the card to your computer and any online photo sharing/storing site. :) They even made one that is compatible with video! I don't have that one though.

As she is a photographer maybe a photo-biography. We made one for a friend, it was great and we have lots of fun choosing the pictures (the one in which she was bathing as a child.. it was hilarious!)

Hmm, I think a good gift for a photog would be a good vacation or picture-worthy moment. Or have a little "gallery party" where you surreptitiously gather her pictures and pretty them up and display them like it's her own gallery show.

You should throw Vania a huge B-day party and invite all her friends and family. At the very least Vania need a copy of the book and a new fancy camera, but that so obvious I'm sure you've already purchased/acquired such items. What you'll need to do is dazzle her. Take her to her favorite restaurant. Have them serve her favorite meal while her favorite music's playing. Why not have her photography featured in the restaurant while your at it. Then you'll need to whisk her away to spa weekend where you can sing her praise. Then and only then can you present her with her new fancy-spancy camera and hot-off-the-press signed copy of Beautiful Creatures.
BTW I did mention this contest in my blog! Wouldn't want anyone to feel left out now would we!
